Caring For Curls

We know that approaching curly clients is both an art and a science. Although these extensions are applied and removed the same way that our regular Tape-Ins and Fusions are, these require special care in order to maintain the quality of the curls.

When it comes to curly extensions, it’s important that you are giving them the proper TLC they need in order to last and maintain the overall health of the extensions.

Here’s What You Need to Know

Washing

Be sure you are starting with a sulfate-free shampoo. It is recommended that the hair is drenched with as much water as possible before applying shampoo so that it can absorb maximum moisture. After rinsing, finish off with a deep conditioner. Carefully massage into the hair while gently detangling strands with your fingers.

*Bonus points for a leave-in conditioner after- it will do wonders for your curls!

Brushing

It is best to use our Babe Extension Brush at the application point to ensure there is no tangling near the root. Follow this by using a wide-toothed comb on the rest of the hair to keep the curls intact and prevent adding frizz.

Styling Care

You should never use hot styling tools or attempt to straighten your curly extensions. In order to keep the curls at the desired texture and curl pattern, refrain from using any heat on them.
